NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BADAGRY WEST STUDENTS (NABWES)

APPRECIATION MESSAGE TO OUR BELOVED LEADERS: HON. GBENU HENNUGBE JOSEPH & HON. REMILEKUN

As the curtain draws on the administration of Hon. Gbenu Hennugbe Joseph, Chairman of Badagry West Local Council Development Area, and his team of political appointees, we, the students of Badagry West under the umbrella of the National Association of Badagry West Students (NABWES), rise to express profound appreciation to two exceptional figures who championed the cause of student development with uncommon commitment.

To Hon. Gbenu Hennugbe Joseph, your tenure will be remembered as one that elevated student welfare to a matter of priority. Your leadership was not just about policies—it was about people. You demonstrated unwavering support for our education through sustained bursary programs, open-door engagements, and strategic backing of NABWES initiatives. Your presence in our story is not only evident, but deeply rooted.

To our Supervisor for Education, Hon. Remilekun, you embodied true leadership with empathy. Your door was always open, your heart ever accessible. You were more than an official—you were a guardian, a consistent pillar behind the scenes, advocating and intervening on behalf of students.

Your administration will be celebrated for birthing what is now an enduring legacy: the Badagry West Student Bursary Scheme, launched under the 7th Administration and still thriving today. This singular act, among many others, speaks volumes about your vision and commitment to educational upliftment in Badagry West.

Special appreciation also goes to Hon. Rauf Yemaren, who served meritoriously as Bursary Committee Chairman and is now elected Chairman. His leadership during the formative stage of the bursary initiative helped lay a lasting foundation. Our gratitude also extends to the entire Bursary Committee, whose dedication and service ensured the scheme’s success and continuity.

Together, your roles in revitalizing NABWES cannot be overstated. Through your collaborative spirit, our association found structure, purpose, and a renewed identity. You gave us the wings to soar, and the courage to own our narrative as students from Badagry West.

As your administration ends, we do not say goodbye—we say thank you. For your service, for your heart, and for believing in the potential of students. We carry your legacy with pride, and we pray your paths ahead be filled with even greater accomplishments.

Signed:

The 9th Administration,

National Association of Badagry West Students (NABWES).
